After purchasing products, visit the Tax Refund Counter. Note that the person who purchased the products must be present.
Please provide: (1) purchased products, (2) your passport (with the Japanese stamp), (3) receipts (hand-written receipts are not accepted), (4) verification documents such as proof of residence (Japanese nationals), and (5) credit card (if used)
*If you used a credit card, the name on the passport, credit card, and receipt must all match.
We will prepare the purchase record and provide you with the necessary information.
You will receive in cash the difference between the purchased amount including tax and the tax-free purchase amount.

Present your passport to customs when leaving Japan.

- Temporary visitors who have stayed in Japan for less than 6 months after entry
- Those who have the resident status of diplomat, official, or US military personnel
- Those with other landing permits

- Those who have lived abroad for two years or more, with a proof of residence or a copy of the official family register
